Established in 1865, the Department of History, GC University, Lahore (http://www.gcu.edu.pk/Hist.htm) is one of the leading centres for teaching and research in History in Pakistan. A blend of experience and youth, the faculty at the department is working hard to disseminate knowledge and promote a culture of inquiry. The Historian, a bi-annual, peer reviewed, research journal published by the department, is one such attempt to explore and impart the knowledge of past with its multiple possibilities. The journal is abstracted and indexed by the EPSCO Libraries (USA). Papers are accepted for consideration on the understanding that they are original contributions to the existing knowledge in the fields of History, International Relations, International Political Economy, Current Affairs, Strategic Studies, Women Studies, Sociology Journalism, Political Science, Statistics, Psychology and Philosophy.
